Neurotoxins have been researched and administered in the medical field for over twenty years. Botox was approved for cosmetic use by the FDA in April 2002 it is used in minute quantities. Dysport is a newer product, but equally as effective. They are sterile, purified proteins which reduce the activity of the muscles that cause frown lines and crow's feet to form over time. Botox and Dysport are also used for treatment of excessive sweating, migraine headaches and neurological disorders.

CONDITION TREATED: Frown lines between the eyes, furrows and lines across the forehead and the crow's feet around the eyes are some of the areas we treat as well as some areas of the lower face. We also treat excess sweating of the underarms.

RESULTS: Expression is maintained as treated areas are relaxed and softened showing less wrinkles.

TREATMENT CONSISTS OF: A single session of injections for each area of the face generally lasts for 3 to 4 months. Underarms can last 6 – 12 months.

TREATMENT TIME: 15 to 20 minutes

RECOVERY TIME: None. Immediately following treatment you may resume regular activities. It takes 2 – 7 days to begin to see the results and a full 14 days for it to settle in.
